No one has to claim it. :O But even if they did....evolution is supported by a lot of facts to back it up.
Creationists on the other hand, claim we were created by a deity ;) , and they won't look at the facts supporting evolution. Which is why I said what I said, but ok, sooo....

We didn't come from monkeys, and there is no evidence to say so. We share a common ancestor with the monkeys though. At least this is what I heard. I might be making that up.
