If I eat beans
And you eat beans
Isn't the outcome
Still obcene

I have a cat
You have a dog
We bi*h and moan
About each other

But at the twilight
It is the dish on the floor
An alarm in the morning
Wakes us up for more

It is a bark
Or meow
Maybe a chirp
That shows us how

They have no label
Other than pet
They comfort us
With no regret

The are not left
And always right
They own us all
Day and night

We primp and pamper
Pet and play
They are not bigots
Like humanity

I have a cat
You have a dog
Why are humans
Stuck in that fog

They dont care
So why do we
When we eat beans
Its the same to me
