I put this on my myspace page.. and im still getting shit about it (people asking my why im athiest) i mean, seriously if you dont get why from this, then i dont know how else to explain it, ... so any advice as to how i can make people who dont get the hole athiest thing would be REALLY helpful?

Although I don't think it is fair or even right that i have to defend my role as an atheist, people keep bothering me about it, so here you go...
The Reasons why
To be atheist is being free from religion and superstition...it is to live free of the confines of having to have faith - that is a belief in something for which there is no evidence.
I am comfortable with living life without the need to love or obay or pray to any supernatural force, without having to worry about doing good deeds to go to heaven, cause in the end we are all going to end up in the perverbial "Hell" no matter what... and without having to believe in a book of words written by ignorant superstitious peoples thousands of years ago.
Science answers all the questions I need to know about the world, our democratic government, my family and my peers, without religion in my life I am the master of my own destiny. Because "god" didn't set one out for me.. why? Because in my belief there isnt one...

Believe what you like.... More power to you
