Submitted by Joe on Tue, 2006-09-12 20:52.Hello everyone! I have thought of a simple way that you can show that you don't agree with having god in the school system. When you are saying the pledge of allegiance, simply don't say the "under god" part. I do this everyday and I almost always get someone to notice it.
Some of you may already be doing this and that is great, don't make a big deal out of it, simply do it until someone notices. If you weren't aware, the pledge hasn't always been like that.
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible

Most "agnostics" are atheists too!

Too many people misunderstand atheism because they've been lied to (most likely by a religious person). All babies are born, atheist.

Baby Boomer Generation
Submitted by KCahill on Thu, 2008-03-13 23:38.My girlfriend and I were talking last night about some of the problems of today. We came to the theory that The Baby Boomer Generation is one of the issues. Our reasons for what they are responsible for:I Most of today's racial/sexist problems (Corporate America)II Religious/Homosexuality discrimination (Boy Scouts)III Majority of the US's ignorance (Clinton Scandal, Bush, Economy, etc)

Just say yes.
Submitted by noor on Fri, 2008-02-22 17:45.I can't access that site, but I'm glad there's people like that out there. I absolutely couldn't stand the "Say NO!!!!!" "Sex before marriage is bad and evil and results in teen pregnancies" bullshit they were spreading around in Health class last semester. We even got a booklet that had a pledge to avoid sex before marriage (I wrote a nice, clean "Fuck you" in the signature space).

Space-age - I had this one a looooooong time ago on my laptop (I did the colors, etc. custom).
Tropical blue - that was my desktop for quite a while.
My Essay on "The Problem With Faith"
Submitted by galenhowe on Sun, 2008-01-06 18:10.Hey everyone,
ill post a formal introduction in a second, however I just wanted to post an essay I finished writing about the problem with faith. My name is Galen, im 17 and like in the United Kingdom currently doing my A-Levels. I am a proud atheist and I have started a chapter of the SSA at my school which i named the Fellowship of Atheists, Infidels, Thinkers and Heretics or F.A.I.T.H. Anyway, I would appreciate if you could read my essay and let me know what you think. It is opinionated (obviously) and i was trying to find a way to email it to someone on this site to see if they wanted to use it but could not find a way to do so. Anyway, cheers!
Amazing Website
Submitted by Hrkman on Fri, 2008-01-04 17:34.Hey everyone, I'm new around here, and a proud atheist.
I found the most amazing website ever for reading about Atheism. This man is a genius when it comes to writing and atheism, and has tons of essays on diverse topics. I just thought it would be great for him to get some more popularity, seeing as he is a manifestation of pure genius XD
anyways, here's the link:
http://www.ebonmusings.org/atheism/index.html
He also has a page on evolution, but I haven't gone in depth on that one. I've read a bunch of his Atheism ones. My favorites include:
All Possible Worlds
The Necessity of Atheism
