Ever Heard of Richard Dawkins?

Richard Dawkins is professor of the public understanding of science at Oxford University and a regular columnist for Free Inquiry magazine. The recipient of a number of awards for his writing on science, including the Royal Society of Literature Award and the LA Times Literary Prize, he has also been awarded the Royal Society Michael Faraday Award for the furtherance of the public understanding of science. In a recent poll in the United Kingdom, he was named Britain's leading public intellectual. He is the author of a number of critically acclaimed books, such as The Selfish Gene, The Blind Watchmaker, Unweaving the Rainbow, The Devil's Chaplain, and The Ancestor's Tale.

In his new 2-part documentary series, "The Root of All Evil?", Dawkins exposes religion as what it really is: Disgusting and wicked.

yes, everyone should watch

yes, everyone should watch those videos. in fact, send those links to everyone you know to be theists. those are powerful, powerful videos. they send chills down my back... and when he confronts the evangelical head-man the head guy called him arrogant and says 'as you age you'll find out you'll be right about some things, and wrong about some things'. and dawkins is clearly more educated and older than that sod. it's pretty telling about how ignorant that guy is of even who dawkins is...

Best books

My fav books recently are Blind Watchmaker and Selfish Gene, by Dawkins, as well as End of Faith by Sam Harris, and Atheism: The Case Against God by George H. Smith

For something 2-sided, 'philosophy gym', by Stephen Law, is interesting

The book that

The book that AgnosticAtheist mentioned by George Smith is my favorite book about atheism. That really cemented my beliefs because it gave reason to them and taught me how to argue them.
